Hi Y'all I've exhausted every lead I can think of and I'm desperate now. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me to try. I've checked State and County records, military, and such. My g-g-grandfather was Henry Hogan b.abt.1834 IL. and d.1928 in Hickstown, IL. He was buried in New Hope Cemetery, Hardin County, IL. He served in the civil war in Co. C 48th IL. Regiment and drew a pension of $10.00 a month. Henry supposedly had 4 wives and it's anyone's guess as to how many children actually belonged to him! His wives were Jane Harper m. 5-28-1866 in Pope County, IL. Jane Goble, Melvina Joiner and Amanda Osmond. He's shown up in the Pope County census, but only with his last wife Amanda. With all of the Henry's, William's and John's it's hard to track him. My great grandmother was Carrie Elizabeth (Hogan) Goins and he was listed as her father. There isn't a birth record for Carrie or a marriage record on his last three wives. I just want to know which one was my g-g-grandmother!!!! Please respond if you have any ideas. Thanks, Vicki
