LOWRY, 57, formerly of Rosiclare, died Friday afternoon of a liver disorder at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco. He was a program assistant for medical research in electro-magnetic spectroscopy at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the University of San Francisco. He was a member of First Baptist Church and an Army Military Police veteran. Surviving are his wife, Donna [CRAINE]; a daughter, Debra LOWRY at home; five sisters, Dorothy DUTTON; Mary Rose VINYARD and Louise ENGLISH, all of Rosiclare; Mable LINDSAY of Eddyville, and Gladys SPIVEY of Elizabethtown; and a brother, James of Chester, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Berdie [SHOWALTERS] LOWRY; brothers, Roy & Charles and a sister, Goldie. Services will be held Saturday at 1pm at Rock Creek General Baptist Church in rural Hardin County, with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery where American Legion Post 571 will conduct military rites.
