    1. [ILPOPE-L] David Johnson's wife
    2. Hello List! While researching my family, I ran across an obscure entry in some 1810 Randolph County, Indiana Territory court records. Before Pope County, Illinois was formed, it fell into Randolph County. Here is the transcription: "Randolph Territorial General Court Record, Indiana 1810-1813", Microfilm #6/0011/11, IRAD at SIU: Tuesday, September 11th 1810 The Recognizance entered into yesterday by William Fisher as security for Mary (or Marg?) Johnson the wife of David Johnson. It is ordered that it be continued until tomorrow morning 10 oclock. That passage happened to be on a page I copied with other information of importance to me. That is why I do not have a copy of the court proceedings from the following day. If anyone is researching this family, I would pursue this document at SIU. Hope this helps someone. I couldn't resist passing the wife's name along. Usually they are so difficult to identify.
