    3. I am not the List Manager for this List, or a Coordinater. I am a Listee just as the rest of you. I have been on this list for many years and enjoy it thoroughly, have never been sorry for staying with it. I just wanted to be friendly and to introduce here some links that I feel are essential to newer Pope County researchers. I always enjoy trying to help those with inquiries when I am able to do it. There are many contributers here who would help you if you speak up. Sometimes my help works and sometimes I'm no help at all. Please take time to go over the links below, *bookmark* them and visit them often - it is worth the time you put into it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you are new to Genealogy and also in basic-intermediate training with a computer system, I highly recommend you enroll in the list below - I have been there on and off for about 9 years, and it is never never boring - always learning new things about Genealogy and the Internet. The Techs on this list have great patience, and experience with genealogy. http://www.rootsweb.com/~newbie/ Mega resources and info/data available RIGHT NOW...try the Pope County IL-Gen-Web, Co-Ordinater is Ginger Hayes (who has given many years of long service, just for you!) http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilpope/ Social Security Death Index - the BEST! http://ssdi.rootsweb.com/ Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763-1900 http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/GenealogyMWeb/marrsrch.html Judy Foreman Lee and Carolyn Cromeenes Foss Judy is a Listee on our List and contributes often.
