    2. Yes, there is more information out there and yes, there may be a penion application filed by him or his dependents with the Department of Veteran's Affairs. The Johnson County Geneological and Historical Society published a Civil War Soldiers of John son County in 1999 by Rebel Kreklow, who is the brother brother in law of Gay Mathis, the librarian in Vienna. I copied (for my records) the history of the 120th out of that small book and find it interesting. For my great-grandfather I filed for a copy of the penision applicaiton filed by his widow witht the National Archives, and they said I must apply for the records through the Dept. of Veteran's Affairs. I am still waiting after many months. Dan Downing
