Carolyn Cromeenes Foss & I compiled & indexed the 3 state census reports in 1991. The book in the court house was not an index it was the compiled state census for 1845, 1855, & 1865. In the state census they did not list everyone in the household, they listed the head of the household and then marks in age groups for the rest.
