If James Wesley married Mary Melissa Brush in Sep 10, 1936 it wasn't in Pope Co or at least it wasn't recorded; the only marriage listed for that date is John E. Miller & Gertie M. Phillips. I have "Mary" Melissa BRUSH marr. to James McClelland SISTLER (my family) on: August 16, 1889 at Rock, Pope Co, IL (Bk A-1, pg 136) (witness: George SISSLER (s/b: SISTLER) / Dr. POE). Eight children. James died November 28, 1932. Mary is on my database to have married: James "Will" (not Wesley) SHUFFLEBARGER when she was about 60 years old, or after her her 1st husband died in 1932. So that would make an estimate of "After Jan, 1933". Thanks to all who responded. I still don't know if James Wesley S.Barger who is buried at New Home Cemetery is the one who married to Mary Melissa Brush. Also, thanks to Carol for the obit of Mary Melissa Brush.
