Hello all, I recently received a "Muster & Descriptive Roll" from IRAD for William C. Sharp (I believe he is the son of the first wife of my ggrandfather (also William C. Sharp!)). He was a private who enlisted in 1862, in Golconda, and died at Lake Providence in 1863. Are there other records, besides the "Muster & Descriptive Roll", that would give me more information? Would his parents have received some kind of death benefit or pension because of his service? Any one have ancestors who served in this company? It seems to consist mostly of Pope County residents.
