Hi Rick, Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Monroe in Pope kind of take in Twp 11 S 7 E and 11 S 6 E. I'm not sure, but does it take in that area in Twp 12 S too? I would like to know who his mother and father were and why they gave him up. He had a brother William P. Cowgill, b Feb 4 1850, who was indentured the same day March 19, 1861 to John P Compton.
