Okay, I am new to the List and quite impressed about the activity these last few days. I have the surnames from the List Roll Call this last weekend all organized alphabetically, with number keys as to who is working on which lines, etc. If anyone would like a copy of it...please let me know by contacting me privately at: robinson@empirenet.com and I will email it out to you. I would just send it out to the List right now, but, you might not be set up in email to accept attached files. Also, you maybe will need Windows95 with MicrosoftWord because the surname file is in a .wps format and requires a viewer to read .wps files. Any Viewer that reads .wps is fine. The ILGEN website also has a surname list, but the last I knew, it doesn't cross reference multiple inquiries on the same surname....check it out, too: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilpope While I am familiar with so many Pope County surnames - I tend to get a little lost now and then. That is why I attempted to make these files - and then thought, that maybe some of you "listees" might benefit from them. I will do my best at keeping the files updated. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: My Precious Families - WALTER-- RODEWALD, HOLTZMEYER, HALL, VOSLOW, MILLER; SISTLER-- HOLLOWAY, MOYERS, PATE, MAXWELL, MITCHELL, JONES, DABNEY, APPLEBERRY. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: WEBSITE: (always in construction) http://members.tripod.com/~walter42 ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: HAPPY SLEUTHING......... >>>>>Denise is my cousin and probably has much more than I do. >>>>>Judy B. Small world! :-) I forwarded your roll call mail to Kimberly. Apparently, she has not yet started to research her family in earnest. She just "found" my Cowsert site on the web and signed my guestbook. She does want to learn more about her family so she can pass it on to her son (I think she is a new mother). She might have more info on Frank and Opal ... children at least ... I gave her Denise's address over the weekend and I believe she has already contacted her. In 1820 there were three Cowserts in Pope. I like to think we are all related from those three! And someday hope to connect all the dots! Any Cowsert info you have would be gratefully received by me. Judy Santa Ana, CA

Williamson, Hannah Williamson, and Albert Williamson. Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks, Laura1853@aol.com
On the IL-Pope site, I saw the name Glass mentioned. I am a descendant of a woman named Isabella who married a James Etson Williamson. Isabella was the daughter of James and Hannah Barnhill Glass.
