I know there was a Whiteside in Glendale around 1860, but I don't know if there is a connection. I'll look what little I have up and send it to you. Laura: I would also like to know the answer concerning Independence Church. I believe it it located near Rosebud. I can barely remember going to either or both Independence and Antioch church when I was very young with my grandparents. If you write/or call IRAD they will search/photocopy for $.25 anything they find. This is how I get Death Certificates for $.50 Sometimes they don't even charge me. They photo a microfilm, and then say "Is this who you want?". Just don't know how long he lived there. I need to check the date he died against the date Catherine died. That might have something to do with it. Since he migrated from Tn....he may have had other family there. I do know he died in 1872, so he was only 42 or 43 when he died. He was also listed as a vetern, which we didn't know.
