    3. i looked around on the web today trying to find when birth info is available in pope co or in ILL and didn't really find a lot of helpful info -- maybe i just hadn't found the right place? looking for birth certificate on a Samuel D. Bowman born 1856 in Pope Co, parents were Faris/Farro/Farrow Bowman and Julia (Hensley). there were other children born there also: James T b 1850, Hugh b 1857, twins Edward and Edwin b 1860 and Martha/Mattie b 1864. any help appreciated, thanks. karen bowman clanin

    3. R. C. Davidson Jr lives at RR 3 , Golconda , IL 62938 (618) 683-4004 in Pope County , Illinois I think that he is about 60 to 65 years old. He and his wife Joan are very active in the local community affairs. He has restored a log cabin and donated it. I never knew what his initials stood for. There are many Buchanan's living in Pope County. Ken Buchanan's father was sheriff at one time.
