    1. [ILPOPE-L] Computer Virus
    2. Bob Gullett
    3. I received message today from a friend who told me that his address book had been infected by a virus that was possibly passed on to everyone in his address book. I did what he instructed me to do and found that my computer did have the virus he described. I followed his instructions and deleted it, but it has probably been passed on to everyone in my address book (which means you). I am, therefore giving you the the exact instructions and information given to me, and I urge you to follow the instructions and get rid of the virus. It seem to lay dormant for 14 days. The message follows: The virus (called jdbgmgr.exe) is not detected by Norton or McAfee anti-virus systems. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by messenger and by the Address Book, whether or not you sent e-mails to your contacts. Here is how to check for the virus and how to get rid of it. You Must Do This: 1. Go to Start, Find or Search option. 2. In the files/folders option, write the name jdbgmgr.exe 3. Be sure you search your C drive and any other drives you may have. 4. Click 'find now'. 5. The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe (Do not Open It). 6. Go to Edit. Choose 'Select All' to highlight the file without opening it. 7. Now go to File and select Delete. It will go to the recycle bin. 8. Go to Recycle Bin and delete it there as well. If you find the virus, you must contact all of the people in your address book sot hat they can eradicate it in their own address books. I'm sorry about his. I am sure eveyrone in my address will have it.

    2. Judy S.
    3. Not to worry, Bob. This is one of those hoax viruses. The first clue is hoaxes always say that anti-virus programs are helpless. :-) Here is the link for the Norton (Symantic) hoax virus page regarding this one: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/jdbgmgr.exe.file.hoax.html A good place to start when you receive email regarding a virus is this page: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/vinfodb.html Use the search option to put in the name of the virus and you can quickly find out if it is real or not. Cheers! Judy Bob Gullett wrote:I received message today from a friend who told me that his address book had been infected by a virus that was possibly passed on to everyone in his address book. 2. Searching for a Roxy Sisco/Cisco who was married to a W. Sam Kelly. They had one child, Alfreida. This was in the late 1800's, early 1900's. W. Sam Kelly owned a restaurant, and a grocery store in Golconda at this time. Anyone know what I'm talking about?? Missy :)

    3. Dear forum members, Due to the interest and efforts of some very fine people, Ruth and Elden Hatcher, two of the three record books of the Big Creek church (mother church of Grand Pier church) have been retrieved and preserved, and thrugh their kindness and generosity, our Library now has them. I have gone through them and entered the names of members into our database, and have entered the surnames on our website along with a sketch history of the church (on the Hardin county page). Among the names of members, are the following which I felt might be of interest to some of you, (this is not a complete list, as there are now about 100 names of members in our database for this church, and the earliest book which is still missing would probably have 50-100 more if it could be found). Elder Charles H. Clay (ordained in August 1829) Christiana, Elizabeth (Betsy), James, and Jenny Cowsert Grace Fulkerson Elder John Hamilton (records indicate he joined in 1818) Eleanor Hamilton George Hamilton Nancy Hamilton Strangemon Modglin William and Sarah Jordan Aaron, Jeremiah, Nancy, and William Neal William and Ann Rondeau Stephen Stilley Carter Scroggins & Phebe Scroggins Abraham, Charles, Clara, Esther, Jacob and Reese Shelby James, Lorenzo, Nancy, and Ransom Womack I'm interested in dates of birth and death for any of these. 3. Patricia: I'm not sure you want all this but here goes! Richard Fulkerson and Gracey Cowsert's kids included Nancy Fulkerson who married John Lee Hamilton. They had a daughter Mary Louise Hamilton. She married first to William H. King. After he died she remarried to John A. Killingsworth. Mary Louise and John Killingsworth had a son, Oliver Perry who married Alice Robertson. They had a son, Amos Delano Killingsworth, who married Freda Upchurch. Freda and Amos are my husbands' parents. Now.....they also had a son, Richard who married Frances Baldwin. Richard and Frances Fulkerson had a son, James Fulkerson who married Martha Upchurch. Martha Upchurch Fulkerson was a sister to Ellis Upchurch. Ellis was the father of Freda Upchurch who married Amos Delano Killingsworth mentioned above. See what I mean? Did you really want all this? Genealogy is so much fun. Don't you agree? 1. Re: [ILPOPE-L] Shufflebarger-Brush Marriage
    2. Has anyone looked for an obituary for this James S.Barger? If there are local papers on file for Dec. 1947, this should be easy to locate. What about a death certificate? Someone who died in 1947 in IL should have a death cert on file, and this would likely clear up who he was. Just a couple suggestions to try to solve this little puzzle. Good luck! 3. Thank you, Linda! I appreciate this. Would you have any idea at all who James W. Shufflebarger might be that was married to Mary Melissa Brush and was referred to in her obituary? (he died in Dec., 1947) The only other James S.Barger I have, is the son of Richard S.Barger and Mary Towns...and this James is on record as 'never married'. Thanks for your help, Carol ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Linda Killingsworth wrote: > James Shufflebarger, son of Abraham and Eleanor Fulkerson Shufflebarger, was > born 1832 and died 1897 and is buried in the S.Barger Cem. in the Raum, Il > area. 3. James Shufflebarger, son of Abraham and Eleanor Fulkerson Shufflebarger, was born 1832 and died 1897 and is buried in the S.Barger Cem. in the Raum, Il area. He could not have been the James who married Mary Melissa Brush. 3. Most of this information came from my late mother-in-law, Freda Upchurch Killingsworth. She did extensive research on the Fulkersons since she and her husband, Amos, were descended from that family. James Frederick Fulkerson, Born Sept. 17, 1811 and died Jan. 29, 1875, buried Old Grandpier Cemetery. Married April 24, 1834 to Priscilla Floyd. Thomas Fulkerson, born Aug. 29, 1813 and died Feb. 1, 1902, buried Lusk Cemetery. Married Dec. 22, 1836 to Mary J. Armstrong. Eleanor Fulkerson, born July 14, 1813 and died July 21, 1885 buried S.Barger Cemetery. Married Oct. 30, 1831 to Abraham S.Barger. Nancy Fulkerson, Born July 7, 1817 and died in 1900, buried Bethesda (Brown) Cemetery. Married January 21, 1841 to John Lee Hamilton Richard Fulkerson, born Oct. 13, 1819 and died March 28, 1900 and married Jan. 21, 1841 to Francis Baldwin. Susahhah Fulkerson, Born Oct 27, 1821 and died Oct. 13, 1877. Married April 1, 1841 to Jordan Story. This is the description of the location of Big Creek Church, organized in 1806, in what is now Hardin County. We have just obtained another older record book of the church and will be adding information about the members listed in it to our website.
