I want to thank everyone sincerely for their prayers for my sister. According to my mom, she has made a "miraculous" recovery (Imagine That!) She was transferred by helicopter to a hospital in Chicago where they discovered that all of her meds were interacting to cause broken blood vessels throughout her body and on her brain. The doctors took her off all meds and she immediately began getting better. She came home from the hospital today on only two medications. She is weak, but expected to make a full recovery!! Thank you all so much and Thank God. Sharon Wiley --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Neva, and all others: My sister's name is Joan. She is 56. She has been having petit mal seizures for years and they have increased in the past two years. She also has arthritis and migraines. The doctors recently put her on Depakote which appears to have interacted with her other meds and threw her into a semi-vegetative state. The doc's seem to think she might come out of it, but she is in bad shape and not too aware of what is going on around her. I can only pray that she will recover enough to have the appropriate testing and treatment that she has needed desperately for years. Thank you all for your prayers. Sharon...... I will pray for your sister. It would help to know her name and what medical problems she is having. Please know that "God is in control" and even though we don't understand things, "He" knows what is best. In Proverbs we read: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path. Our comfort is also in Him.......... Please know that He hears your prayers..... and don't give up......... Does your sister have a personal relationship with Christ???? Do we also need to pray for her salvation? My heart goes out to you in this time of frustration, and to your sister who I am sure is very frightened. Last Monday I spent the whole day playing at the Pope County Court House. I had a wonderful time and found a few tidbits, here's one. On a small piece of page tucked away in PC Probate Book "B" was this information: "Sally Ann BARKER was Born August the 11th 1830. Emeline BARKER was Born June the 1st 1836." In Ed Annable's Pope County Probate Records 1836-1845 [1997]on page 53 is the following: William BARKER date of death unknown. Guardian notes from File box 163. 6 September 1838 - Isaac WATKINS appointed guardian for Sally Ann BARKER and Emiline BARKER, heirs of William BARKER. Jason B. SMITH was his security in the amount of $800. I hope this info helps someone. Judy Judy Foreman Lee [email protected] www.angelfire.com/il/leefoss www.familytreemaker.com/users/l/e/e/Judy-F-Lee
Hi Kathy, Nice to hear from you. I'm always glad if someone "butts in". You never know what you might pick up. I don't have James in my data base, but I do know that some of my ancestor, Ivy Reynolds' siblings went to Tennessee in the early 1800s, so he could very well be connected. I will try to let you know if I come up with anything. Feel free to stay in touch. Margaret, I'm sorry to butt in but I read your posting and saw that you have some Reynolds info from Pope Co. I am looking for a James W. Reynolds who born about 1838 in TN. Lived in Pope Co at least from 1860 to 1865 when he married Mary A. Leverett. By 1867 this James W. is missing and Mary A is remarried. I also have a James A. Reynolds age unk who married a Sarah Jane Leverett in Pope Co. Jul 13, 1854. After that I lost him but did find his wife Sarah in the 1860 census living with her parents again. Then I lost her also. Do either of these Reynolds boys fit your Reynolds? Again, I'm sorry to butt in. Maybe you already have this, but just in case you don't . . . The ancestors of this Jacob Shufflebarger and Christiana Beanard are listed in "Early Pioneer Gravestones of Pope County, Illinois" by Michael McNerney and Herb Meyer, published by American Kestrel Books/American Resources Group, Ltd., 127 North Washington, Carbondale, IL 62901. They go back to Jacob's and Christiana's grandparents, along with a history of the family. This is a soft-cover book, priced at under $10, I believe. I think it is still in print. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Owens" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, November 04, 2002 8:28 PM Subject: Re: [ILPOPE-L] Shufflebarger > Here's what I have: > > Permilia SBarger born 29-DEC-1818 Eddyville, Pope Co., IL; died 22 FEB 1893 > Eddyville, Pope Co., IL > Married Alexander Nelson King 5 JUN 1836 Pope Co., IL > Father: Jacob SBarger > Mother: Christiana Beanard > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "sharon brown" <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Monday, November 04, 2002 4:47 AM > Subject: [ILPOPE-L] Shufflebarger > > > > Does anyone have Permelia Shufflebarger who married Alexander Nelson King? > > Sharon > > > > > > >

Margaret, Good to hear from you again. Send me your e-mail and I will update on Willis & Charlotte Reynolds Robertson information. I had major virus last Oct 01 and lost many files and e-mail addresses. Charlotte Reynolds Robertson's name was recorded in her daughter, Mary Robertson Russell's Bible. American Bible Society -1852. I copied this information from the Bible in early 1970's The Bible was in possession of Mary's granddaughter, Anne, at that time. Anne died in 1994. The parents were listed along with the births and death of Mary's 14 siblings up through Mary's death in Dec 1899. Father & mother-in-law of France M. (Fanny, Fana, Thana) Gossage Robertson, daughter of Geo. Washington Gossage. Willis Robertson b: 03/29/1812 in TN d: 01/24/1878 in KY .. +Charlotte Reynolds b: 08/24/1815 in TN d: 05/07/1906 in KY (1880 Census lists her parents birthplace as NC) I can't help but believe that she somehow ties to the Ivy Reynolds line some where, but haven't pursued this. I had this line back through several generations but was one of the files I lost. Hi Judy, Nice to see your posting. As you will no doubt remember, I am a descendant of Isaac Robertson through his daughter Turpsy Florence, her son, Floyd Reynolds, and my father, Loren Reynolds. We have corresponded in the past, and I believe you have also corresponded with my sister, Rosemary and her son, Michael Bozovich. I don't have anything new on the Gossages. I never did know much except what you had given me. I have a book done by Forest Gossage, but it is absolutely rife with errors that even I can catch. I have continued to try and track Willis Robertson and his family prior to the 1850 Overton County census, but no luck. How did you come to believe that Charlotty's maiden name was Reynolds? Would love to hear from you.
