PAT, Could you please check 1872 section for Robert BOWMAN. Robert has been a difficult guy to locate after 1860! I believe his 1st wife, Sarah BRAWDY, died in the 1860's while Robert was serving in the Union Army. His kids, Mary Elizabeth and William BOWMAN, must have been taken in by relatives as Robert seems to have drifted around Pike Co. until his 2nd marriage to Mary Ann HULL in 1882. Robert BOWMAN seems to have died in 1906, and is buried in Pike Co., but 2nd wife Mary lived until 1915 and she might be in the 1912 section of the Atlas. Glad you had a Merry Xmas. It has some profiles in it and pen and pencil drawings of different farms and homes as well as the Atlas. The names are listed by Township and they are not all listed. So I am guessing that when they were made you had to pay for it and my dear old Thompson Ruble didn't fork over the money to be listed but he's there non the less in Hardin Township where he went in 1850 and stayed. So if you names are not listed do not dispare I can look at the Township and see if they are there. So I can either start typing the index or you can just ask.
