    3. Mary: The index to the 1860 Federal Census, IL, shows the following: BARNES, G. Pike County IL Pleasant Hill Twp. census page 619. If your dates are accurate, and this is Griff Barnes, the census record should show the G. Barnes family with a 1-2 yr old boy named John.
