Dwight Brokaw Dwight Brokaw age 91, of Pittsfield died Wednesday evening, Jan 6, 1999 at Illini Hospital. Born April 29, 1907 in Summer Hill, he was the son of the late Elmer Brokaw and Anna Elliott Lyman Brokaw. He married Thelma McClintock on Oct. 28, 1933 in Quincy and she preceeded him in death on Feb. 24, 1993. Surviving are two great-nieces, Lou Ann Ladage of Chatham, and Mrs. Dave (Amy) Nelson of Ashland; and one great-nephew, Rob Lyman of Waverly. He was preceeded in death by his parents; wife; one nephew Gordon "Butch" Lyman who was raised in his home; two half-sisters, Frankie Hark and Ora Ricks; and one half-brother Loren Lyman. Mr. Brokaw farmed near Summer Hill all his life. He was past road commissioner for Martinsburg township and a member of the Pittfield Masonic Lodge #790 AF & AM, Pike County Saddle Club, and the Pike County Democratic Party. Thanks for your help on this. Sharon K Funeral services were held at 2pm Saturday January 9 at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Pittsfield, with the Rev. John McIntosh officiating. Burial was in Summer Hill Cemetery. Masonic Services wre conducted at 2pm at the funeral home. Memorials man be made to the Pike County Saddle Club.
