IL, Fri., Jan 25, 1884: "We learn of a sad misfortune that befell Mrs. Wm. Dennis, near Beverly, last week. In stooping over a fireplace to skim some frozen milk her underclothing took fire, and before her husband could extinguish the flames the poor woman was fatally burned, and after writhing in terrible agony for nearly a week was relieved of her sufferings by death. The victim was a daughter of Wm. Peterson. She leaves a husband and babe to mourn her."
