The subject of this sketch was born in Ohio, March 2, 1817, being at the time of his death, 72 years , 4 months and 9 days. The deceased came to Pike county from Ohio about 40 years ago, and has lived in Pike county ever since with the exception of the last three years. His wife preceeded him to the grave several years ago. He leaves two sons and two daughters to mourn his loss." __ (I am not related to this person - GW).
