IL, Wednesday, Dec 6, 1911, in part: " Another Good Woman Dead. Mrs. W. T. Mitchell Passed Away on Sunday. Mrs. Cornelia Ann Mitchell, an aged and respected resident of Barry, passed away last Sunday evening. She had been in poor health for some time. She was well known here and in Quincy, and her many friends will be sorry to learn of her death. She was a woman who endeared herself to all who made her acquaintance, and all extend sympathy to her husband and relatives in their bereavement. Cornelia Ann Lippincott was born in Camden, N.J. August 17, 1832, and departed this life at her home in Barry, Ill., in the evening of December 3, 1911, aged 79 years, 3 months and 16 days. She came to Illinois with her parents when a child. In 1853 Miss Lippincott was united in marriage with Peterson Jennings, and to their union five children were given, three daughters and two sons, of whom three daughters and one son are living and today mourn as only those do who mourn for their mother. On April 30, 1896, Mrs. Jennings was united in marriage with W.T. Mitchell, who surves. Born in a Christian family our sister confessed her faith in Christ early in life and has spent her long life in fellowship with the church and her Savior. She united with the Barry Methodist Episcopal church by letter in 1895. During the years when the infirmities and weakness of age were hers she gave every assurance of her salvation and preparation for that transition from her earthly home to her father's house above. Today we are comforted in the thought that she has entered upon the full enjoyment of all that Jesus made ready for her again her coming. The services were held at the family home yesterday afternoon, Rev. D. V. Gowdy officiating. The W.R.C. had charge of the funeral." __ I only copied this obituary as I was researching my own family - I don't know this person. GW
