    1. [ILPIKE] GenConnect Posts
    2. When I took over management of this list I set the Pike Co GenConnect Board to notify the list each time a post was made so listmembers could see the queries on the GenConnect board as they were posted. I then got numerous complaints because the message was written in such a way that some subscribers thought they could unsubscribe from those particular posts when in actuality they could not because it was coming thru the ILPIKE mail list. Several days after I cancelled the GenConnect board posts, Rootsweb announced a new 'gateway' to would send these query posts to the mail list. In my opinion, the new 'gateway' would benefit listmembers by possibly providing more contacts. Now I just need to know what the majority of listmembers would prefer. Do you want these posts (examples of old and new below) to come thru the list? I will tally your responses tomorrow evening and will go with the majority. Example of old query: Pike County, Il Query Forum A new message, " " was posted by on Thu, 27 Jan 2000 Surname: This is an automatically-generated notice.
