I have a HP scanner, I do all the pictures I want to save. I use Corel Photo program. I scan the picture to Corel photo, you can enhance it in several ways, and add text to it, like names etc. I place a piece of white paper at the bottom of photo, and size the photo with some of the white below the picture, so I can add text with out printing on the photo. You can save the photo from Corel to your hard drive or disk. The program allows you to make the image large or small, make them small on the scale it shows you, and you can put about 20 photos on a floppy disk.
