Croft's sister. I'd like to thank you for the information you posted on a message board in response to a query from my brother about Stony Point Cemetery. When our Mother was 16, in 1921, she, our grandparents, and our great-grandmother, who was married to John Guy Dudley, found the cemetery and our great-grandfather's grave. About 15 or 20 or so years, our Mother and Father were unable to find anyone who knew where the cemetery was. Our Mother was so disappointed. If she were still alive, she'd be delighted that my brother has found someone who knows where it is. We are also trying to find our great-grandfather's death record. Although the family farm was near Barry, Barry doesn't have the record of his death. Our great-grandfather died of "complications of a Civil War wound" (we don't know what that means). He may have died in a hospital somewhere as both our grandfather and our great-aunt dreaded going to hospitals all their lives, because "you only went to a hospital to die." It must have been somewhere near Barry and Stony Point. Do you have access to any records that would tell us where to get the record of our great-grandfather's death and an explanation of what those "complications of a Civil War wound" were. We are also trying to find out who John Guy Dudley's parents were and we hope that his death record will show that. We will be grateful for any information you can find. Sincerely, Margaret R. Croft
