I'm sorry but I have to forgive my fellow Pike Countian for this one little indiscretion posted to the list. I wouldn't have responded except for the fact it came from Pat. After all she has contributed to the list all summer and winter months I think we can allow her this. How many of us have asked her for information and to do look ups for us. I know I have and she has been very gracious about sending me anything I've asked for. ENOUGH SAID !!!!!!! Now about these Hulls in Pike county? I have a testimonial about David Denton Hull written to the editor, but could not find an obituary on him. It was written by a neighbor of his ( looks like Jno. M. Shaney ). Anyone recognize that name from Pike County. It tells of David coming to IL. as a young child. David died at the ripe old age of 95 years. Must have done something right to live that long.It was Written to the editor of the Barry Adage 10 April, 1907. It goes on to tell how he fought the Indians in this unsettled part of the country. States he left nine children and ninety one grand and great-grandchildren.
