Bob your thinking is pretty sound. I know nothing about the French line but I do know that families tended to travel and settle together in the westward migration. I have a George W. Williams that married Parmelia Nicholson 28 of July 1828 in Pike Co. which made them some of the first settlers in Pike Co. I would like to know who he belonged to. Their granddaughter Nora Williams married our Edward Ruble. Her fathers name was Henry J. Williams who married Mary Main? I find a Henry J.Williams married to a Rosa but not Mary. Got anything on the Williams? There are several French marriages in the early Marriage book. Do you need those?
