The notes that I have tell that Lester Ava was killed in an accident with a shotgun. The notes were written in the hand of his sister Ella Alether Buchanan. A large amount of information can be found on his mother and father in the book "Pike and Calhoun counties, Illinois, Biographical Dictionary." His sister Ella Alether, passed away on July 24th, 1964 in Hannibal, Missouri.
