So I googled and hit a site that had an article that addressed the issue of 1927 money compare to 1998 money. $100 fine not exactly a slap on the wrist. In 1927 dollars, $100. would have been a bunch of money. Some of our relatives went to 'Detroit-City' to work in Henry Ford's factory for $1. a day (10 hour day).
