I don't have much info to go by, but according to death certificate, it lists his fathers' name as "Henry". I don't know if that was a first or middle name. Williams' mother was "Mary" b. 1821 in Tennessee (unknown location). William also had a sister by the name of Elizabeth "Lizzie" b. 1853 (ILL.) that married a David A. Magruder in Macon county, MO. William married a Pheobe Magruder, also in Macon, which he is buried there. William, Elizabeth, and Mary were located in the household of Green Smith (son of Robert Smith & Talitha Bonifield) b. in Morgan County Illinois, in the 1870 Missouri Census and that's the last we've been able to locate Mary. I would like to try to locate any info on Mary Mayes and who this "Henry" was and his info if possible. I've found a William Mayes b. abt 1775 in TN, d.???? in Barry, Pike, Illinois, married to _______Dodson b.1779 in TN. Also, I've found more than one spelling for "Barry"...was there more than one "Barry" or is it a typo?
