Hope I am not asking for too much here! I would really appreciate it. My gr-grandfather, William Williamson, died 24 SEPT 1866 in Chambersburg. I have yet to find his burial. He may be buried in the Chambersburg or Hume cemetery. Do I need to find the books for these and then ask for a lookup? By the way, William was married to Sarah Thornton in Madison Co. IL in 1858. I noticed some Thornton names in Pike Co. Sarah and family came from ENG in 1848. I believe she had relatives from ENG already in Madison and Pike Co early on. This Thornton family came over much later than the other Thornton lines. Thanks for any information on this family. Shari in SC
