The book was begun sometime in the late 1850s by my g-g-grandmother when she lived in Pike County, Illinois. Some family members had at one time been (or were still) residents of counties near Pike including Sangamon, Adams, Schuyler, etc; others moved to Iowa, Missouri or other “points west.” Some were probably descendants of a connection in earlier generations in either Virginia (now WV), Ohio and/or Indiana as the family migrated west (first settling in Illinois ca 1825). I am actively searching for information on the families represented in the book and need to identify some individuals to find the family connection.
