    1. Re: [ILPIKE] MEDEARIS surname
    2. Melvin McAllister
    3. I have the spelling Medaris. The diary of ca1860 shows Charles, John, R. and L.. One was a neighbor who had a grinding stone. The one Medaris lived next to McKinney in section 2 of New Salem Township of Pike County. In the McKinney tree there is Anna Leta Medaris b-Kansas m-Elmer Weaver 1911. There is an Oliver Medaris m-Hanna McKinney 1880 and also a Stella m- a Husman. I recall a previous message you had about Orrs and Taylors. I need to be refreshed as the Orrs are in two of my trees and the Taylors are still a mystery. Does this make any sense? ----- Original Message ----- From: <Vanetteh@aol.com> To: <ILPIKE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, February 13, 2000 3:00 PM Subject: [ILPIKE] MEDEARIS surname > I saw the name MEDEARIS on a list recently but can't rememember which one. > Since this is the one I've been on the longest and consider "home", I thought > I'd post here.
