Is anyone on the list familiar with the Prairie Farmer's Reliable Directory? I have an abstract from this source for 1917 - Pike Co. Were there Directories for other years? In this abstract are several Battershell families. It gives the name of the head of household, the wife's 1st and maiden name, the children's names and name of town where they resided in Pike Co. At the end of each listing is a date in parenthesis which I am assuming is the birthdate of the head of the household. I have also noticed that there are asterisks ahead of some of the children's names. Would anyone know what these designate??? Could it mean they were children from a previous wife??? Just curious about this reference source and would like to know if there are other directories for other years. Thanx - Diane
