    1. Re: [ILPIKE] MEDEARIS surname
    2. Hi, Melvin, Yes, you made perfect sense. The MEDARIS/MEDEARIS's I have are more recent than yours, but I'll send them at the end. The only possibility is the R--one of mine is Roy. I only have them because they married into my main line, HOBBS. I thought sure I'd seen the name spelled with the second 'e' someplace, but who knows? I have only two ORRs, Alexander and John. Alexander married a RUSSELL and John married a HOBBS, but they would have been in either MD, NC, or VA--the early 1800s. My few TAYLORs range from about 1825 to 1890 and married into HOBBS and YEARY families, also in VA, probably Lee County. Vanette Here are the MEDEARIS people: hope it fits somewhere. VIOLET MAE7 HOBBS (JOHN HEZEKIAH6, RAY5, GREENBERRY4, EZEKIEL3, VINCENT2, NATHANIEL BARRYE1) was born February 29, 1912 in On farm South of Toronto, Woodson County, Kansas. She married ROY EUGENE MEDEARIS April 07, 1928 in Yates Center, Woodson County, Kansas. Children of VIOLET HOBBS and ROY MEDEARIS are: i. BETTY IRENE8 MEDEARIS, b. January 26, 1929, Toronto, Woodson County, Kansas. ii. ANTHONY LEE MEDEARIS, b. November 13, 1932, Woodburn, Yamhill County, Oregon. iii. TWILA FERN MEDEARIS, b. November 08, 1934.
