Benny B. Blacketter Hannibal, Mo., June 1 – Benny Byron Blacketter, 75, of 612 Ely died Sunday morning at 10:30 in St. Elizabeth hospital. He had been a patient three days. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 in the Clark funeral home. Elder Floyd Bowman will officiate. Burial will be in Marble Creek cemetery south of here. Mr. Blacketter was born at New Canton, Ill., Oct. 14, 1889, a son of Edmond and Christine Goodwin Blacketter. He was married to Elsie Mae Waters Jan. 12, 1914, at Hannibal. She died in 1940. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints at New Canton. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Louise) Ragland and Mrs. Richard (Juanita) Johnson of Hannibal, five sisters, Mrs. Everett (Grace) Smith of Wood River, Ill., Mrs. Fay Ollie Bennett and Mrs. Charles (Maude) Sappington of St. Charles, Mrs. Dan (Alza) Conner of Hannibal and Mrs. Ben (Alma) Saxbury of Hull, Ill.; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
