Surnames: Tittsworth Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/kg.2ADI/1726 Message Board Post: Pike County Republican June 6, 1945 Mrs. Mae Tittsworth aged 53 years, well known New Canton woman was found dead two miles from New Canton Sunday night at about 7 o'clock. Mrs. Tittsworth had spent the day at the John Stottlemeyer home in Whip-poor-will Hollow and after eating supper had started on her return to her home in New Canton. She was found by David Gray who lives in the Hollow and who was on his way to New Canton. Mrs. Tittsworth had been in ill health for some time and under the care of a physician, Dr. Dechow of Kinderhook, who testified at the inquest that she had a heart ailment for some time. She is survived by her husband, Elmer Tittsworth, three sons, Robert and Marion of New Canton and Harry who is in the armed services, serving over seas. An inquest was held in the fire department house at 10 o'clock Sunday night. States Attorney David Williams and coroner Fred Bulter of Pittsfield in charge. Jurymen were Dick Fesler, Charles Kendrick and Vernon Bolin.
