Johnson in 1876 in Pike Co., Ill. so she must have been his second wife. On the 1880 census of Hardin, Pike Co., Ill Richard Thornten (sp) is enumerated age 40 wife Phila V. 31, Alvin Thornten 14, Benjamin F. Thornten age 12, Permelia J. dau age 7 and Richard S. Thornten age 2. I do show in my FTM another spouse for Richard Thornton the elder as Margaret Watson. Perhaps we have corresponded before. I found Phila V.'s parents in the Johnson Cem. in Hardin Twp. along with Richard and Phila's dau. Annie Thornton d. June 4, 1877 age 1 day. I connect to Phila V.'s Johnson lines.
