I will be in the Pike County area sometime in the near future and would like to do a little research. My interest is to find death information of family living in the Pleasant Vale area in about 1860 to '65. I think they passed in about 1865. What and where would my best place to research. Would there be newspaper microfilm somewhere, ledger in courthouse? I've check all the obvious places on-line. Also...were there deaths at this time that were just not recorded? This is an elusive bunch...probably no estate. Annette
