Your Margaret married James Alvin Thorton. My married William Dansfield. Here is that story. Elisha Grimes b. August 20, 1822 in Pike Co., Ohio and died, April 08, 1888 in Vermilion Co., Illinois. Married, Elizabeth Cissna, Oct. 03, 1852 in Vermiliom Co., IL. Margaret Ellen Grimes, b. Feb. 24, 1867, Vermilion Co., IL, m. William Dansfield, Dec. 25, 1889, in Vermilion, Co., IL. Margaret was 6th child born out of 10 children. I have the records from Ephraim Grimes Gen 1 to Gen 8 and more of those who are here in Nevada, Washington and California. The may be of the same Grimes Family? The person who did all this work on this Grimes branch is Kathy Butcher <[email protected] Mrs. Fred O. Butcher 112 East Fifth Street Tilton, Illinois. 61833 She has a world of information on the Grimes Surname. 'Gene" Grimes Norman Eugene Grimes, 82, of Auburn, Washington, formerly of Georgetown, IL, died at Wednesday ( Oct. 15, 2003 ), at the Veterans Hospital in Seattle, Washington. He was born May 01, 1921, in Georgetown, the son of John and Lilly Maskal Grimes. He married Lvern Bush in 1945 in Georgetown. She survives of Auburn. Surviving area daughter, Candice Tedeski of Glen Cove, NY; two sons, John Grimes of San Dimas, Calif, and Norman J. Grimes of Auburn; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren He was preceded in death by one daughter, his parents, five brothers and two sisters. norman was a veteran of World War 11, serving in the U.S. Navy.
