    1. Re: [ILPIKE] GRABAEL
    2. Mari, I think the name can be spelled Graybill also. I have a hunch the original is probably Grabael, likely German, that was changed over time to Grabeel, Grabill, Graybill, and heaven knows what else. Maybe even Grable? I only have four GRABEELs--my side of the family. Jacob, his daughters Lucinda and Martha, and a stray Nancy. I'd bet Nancy is related to the rest but don't know in what way. They're all between 1822 and about 1900 in Lee County, VA. The closest I can come to your Flossie Hamilton (my husband's side) is Florence Rosettie HAMILTON b. 1867 in KS, d. 1937 in CA. Got her off a website, don't know how reliable it is. I wrote the submitter, but never got a reply. Maybe I should try again in case the system ate my email. If you're grasping at straws, I think I'm trying to find needles in haystacks! Oh, well, sometimes it works! Vanette Hobbs Hamilton
