    1. [ILPIKE] Land Office in Edwardsville, 1834
    2. Richard Hubbard
    3. At the website for the BLM I found a land patent record from 1834 for Joseph Hubbard for Pike County, IL. This was the record kept in Washington, D.C., but the sale was filed in the District Land Office in Edwardsville. I also know that by 1836 a Land Office was in operation in Quincy which covered Pike County. I would like to know where the original records are now. 1. Was the Edwardsville office closed at some point, and were the records kept in Edwardsville? If so, where? 2. If the records were moved, are they at Quincy, Springfield, or somewhere else? 3. If this is a common question, I apologize. Is there an IL Genealogy FAQ? Thanks in advance. Richard Hubbard, St. Louis, Missouri rhubbard@mvp.net ---- TAX REFORM: Increased taxes.
