    3. Your mention of Cannon and giving much more detail triggered my memory. There is a Cannon researcher living (as of last September) in Pittsfield at the campground in the summer and Florida in the Winter. This got me to thinking of the 1991 (that was before email) Pike and Calhoun County Gen Society members surname list. In it is a Donald Fahs (maybe you are one of them) that was researching a Leggett/Liggett along with Crim, Davis, Fahs, Gose, Leas, Pilcher, and Toner. Mr. Liggett is still listed in teldir.com. There are several researching Cannon in the list. I used this list to find Wilson connections by writing a mass of letters. One produced the results I wanted. The results were that I found out there were a lot of Wilson's in Pike County that I had not discovered. Eventually this connection got me in touch with another Wilson researcher that did not know anything about Wilson's in Pike County, but did fill me in with the Philadelphia Wilson's that I previously knew were there and could not find. He also told me where my McAllister's were from in Ireland. Together, with the help of a Pike County researcher we have discovered a lot of the Wilson heritage. I wish the Gen Soc was still active and that the list was updated with email addresses. I found that as of three years ago over half of the Wilson researchers (there was a lot of them) in the list had no phone listings. I still use the list, but with diminishing returns. Does anyone have an updated list? ----- Original Message ----- From: <RML11952@aol.com> To: <ILPIKE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 29, 2000 4:42 PM Subject: Re: [ILPIKE] Leggett-notes > Sharon, > Your typing is wonderful, per my earlier reply, let me go further in > speculation.
