Looking for information on the JAMES B BROWN family, they came from Ohio Co. WVA abt 1863 to Griggsville. James B Brown was born abt. 1825 in OH or PA. He married MARY MILLER 1848. James is listed in the 1865 IL state census but only Mary and the children are listed in 1870. The children: LEWIS CASS BROWN b 1849 VA died 1920 Griggsville, married Sara Emma Johnson. children: Louis, Annie, William, Bertha, Lucille Jane, Maude John, Elva. James abt. 1853 Joseph 1851 died before 1920 Mary J "Jennie" abt 1858 died 1921 in Quincy. She ran the hotel in Griggsville with Nellie Vance 1900 census, 1910 she and her brother James ran a hotel in Mt Sterling, 1920 they were living in Quincy. I don't think either was ever married. MARY MILLER( BROWN) the Millers were all born in PA Washington Co. They moved to the Pike co area by 1870. Parents: JOSEPH MILLER abt 1800 died between 1870-1880 in Pike Co. wife SARAH Children; Mary, Thomas, Joseph, Seller, Charles, James C Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Joyce
