    3. Hi Bill. I was glad to receive the info you sent. I have very little as I haven't been looking very long. I think when I get stuck, like on Matilda Jane, I should drop it and move on and come back to her later. I didn't do that and I have been looking for her burial place and death date for a long time. She was in Poplar Bluff in the 1900 census but I'm sure she returned to Pike Co. sometime later as all of her family is in Pike and Madison Co.'s. I have not ran across your Holford name that I remember but will keep an eye out for it. Haven't gone to Pike as yet but plan on it soon. Thanks for the info and should you find any more I'd be appreciative to receive a heads up. Do you think the connection between the Smith's and the Holfords is located in Wis or somewhere in NY? I may come up with a date of death in the pension files. Guess I should order his military and pension files. Thanks again for the clues. Have a good day.
