Strubinger Feb. 14, 1905 Mary A Strubinger, daughter of William and Jane Chamberline, was born in Derry Township, Pike County on March 22, 1841 and died in Barry, Feb. 14, 1905. She was married to Michael Strubinger July 31, 1862. To them five children were born of which the eldest died in infancy, and one son and three daughters are left. Mr. Strubinger died in 1896. Two brothers, Aaron Chamberline of ElDara and William Chamberline of Barry and one sister Mrs. Crowder of Los Angeles, California. Still survive. Mrs Strubinger began her married life on a farn near El Dara. After living there eight or nine years the family moved to Barry, where she has lived ever since. She bacame a Christian at the age of twelve under the ministry of D.P. Henderson, one of the greatest evangelists of his day. She united with the Christian Church, of which she was a member for more than fifty years. Mrs. Strubinger was a woman of energy, capacity and self-sacrifice. The work that came to her in life was done promptly and thoroughly. Within the home her self sacrifice and thoughtfulness for others were constant. Her feeling of responsibility for her children ! ceased only with life itself. She was a pillar in the church. She contributed the largest amount received from any one for the house in which the church now worships. Her response to every call for money to carry on the Lord's work was cheerful, prompt and generous. Foreign Missions, Home Missions, the Orphan's Home-work. Educational work as well as the support of the home church received her sympathy and help. In the words of a former pastor, Bro. N.E. Cory, she was a noble Christian woman one whom Paul would have commended. After such a record it is hardly necessary to add that she is sincerely and deeply mourned and sadly missed. Barry Breeze
