The source of my information on the death of Francis E. Davis was taken from the Pike County ILL Democrat newspaper abstract 1867. DIED In Newburg township on Saturday, Dec. 28th, 1867, Francis E., wife of Benjamin B. Davis, aged 39 years. Since Benjamin Davis is a common name, it is possible there was another Benjamin Davis in Pike County during the 1830's to 1870's. Benjamin Barzillia Davis was the son of Isaac Van Norman Davis who died in Pike Co. in 1851.
