Thomas Nov. 8, 1907 Last Wednesday morning a little after midnight occurred the death of our well known citizen William H. Thomas. He had been ailing for nearly a year but gave up last Friday when he was confined to his bed and remained there until his death. Mr. Thomas was born near El Dara this county, September 2, 1843 and was the son of Joseph and Louisa Thomas, and was 63 years, two months and four days when he died. He was first married in April 1866 to Susan Jacobs who died Jan. 5, 1905. On January 25, 1906 he married Mrs. A.E. Kendrick, who survives him, besides three brothers and it is said two sisters, Mr Thomas was a very energetic man and farmed all his life. Even after moving to Barry eight years ago he gave much of his time and labor to on his two farms, one of which consists of 190 acres and is situated in Derry township, while the other of 60 acres lies only 2 1/2 miles east of town and is in Hadley township. The funeral service was held yesterday afternoon at the home a! nd Rev. C.M. Barton preached the sermon. The remains were laid to rest in Park Lawn Cemetery besides those of his former wife.
