John was the son of Peter Baccus/Bechues (various spellings). Catherine was the daughter of Michael Frank. Both families were German and both lived in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Sarah Baccus married William Snider/Snyder 5 Feb 1801, but we don't know where. Could have been Pennsylvania. But the birthplaces of their children indicate that they probably lived in an area of Pennsylvania that was claimed by Virginia, so who knows where the record might be. I am writing this first thing in the morning, without consulting my notes, so this may not be strictly accurate. Also, I have yet to establish my relationship to the Baccus line so have not done any major research on it. However there is a file at WorldConnect on descendants of Peter Bechues, and it is a large file. Perhaps you could find some clues there. Alma
