I am looking for information on Francis E. Davis who died Dec. 28, 1867 at age 39. Can anyone verify she was married to Benjamin Barzillia Davis who was married first to Sally Philinda Pettis and married second to Elizabeth Gibson. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Marilyn

Benjamin Barzillia[3] Davis, son of Isaac and Mercy Rogers Davis, was born August 29, 1813 in Canada; died May l9, 1879 while visiting relatives in Minnesota; married (1) Catherine Sally Philinda Pettis, daughter of Stephen and Sally Philinda Nichols Pettis. Catherine was born October 10, 1819, in Alburg Vt.; died June 5, 1852, in Pike County, Ill., and is buried in the Pettis Cemetery, one mile south of Newburg Corners, Pike County. Benjamin married (2) ----- ; married (3) -----. Benjamin remained on the home farm in Pike County, Ill. He attained national acclaim as a pomologist with the production of the "Ben Davis" apple.
