I see emails frequently (on genealogy websites) about problems with groups or individuals wanting to destroy old cemeteries. I am wondering if any of these ancestors graves could be protected if one could prove they were of native American Indian descent? I know the U.S. Federal Government is very protective of their gravesites. I have at least three G-G-Grandmothers of NA ancestry buried in Arkansas and I wouldn't hesitate to use that fact to protect their resting places. Most of us whose ancestors were colonists, pioneers and such to this country before there even was a United States of America really do have NA Indian blood ancestry. Worth a try anyway. Linda
