My John Phillip LEEDS was living in Pike County by 1860 with his wife. I believe the Samuel LEEDS listed in the 1850 Census who has a son John age 20 would be this John and his father. Some of the other sibling names and who I am trying to find info on are: Swain born approx 1844 Elijah born approx 1831 Marcus born approx 1842 Alonso born approx 1848 Living also with them was William Scull who somewho would be related to Samuel W. LEEDS' wife Mariah SCULL. It woudl seem that these LEEDS are very early settlers of Pike Co and wonder how to find out about early settlers? Any help or leads (no pun intended) would be appreciated.
